Summer is finally here and perhaps you are planning a trip to Snowdonia National Park. Here's some events that you may want to catch while your in the area:
July
We are kicking things off in July with Sesiwn Fawr on 15th and 16th July. Sesiwn Fawr is a popular music festival in Dolgellau, just 5 minutes away from our Guesthouse and Campsite. Tickets are sold out, but worth checking out and making a note of for next year!
We also have the Ras Y Wyddfa, Snowdon race on the 16th July. Entrance for this race has now closed, but perhaps you have already entered and are looking for accommodation? Our guesthouse and campsite are around 50 minutes by car from Snowdon.
August
3rd, 7th and every Wednesday and Sunday there are special sunset train rides from Talyllyn Railway and on Friday's there is a stop at the 'chippy' so you can enjoy fish and chips on your journey.
4th, 11th and 18th - there is a BBQ special at Bala Lake's steam train ride, departing Llanuwchllyn at 6.15pm with an extended stop at Llangower for a bite to eat while you watch the sun go down over the mountains and the lake.
6th-7th We have Rock and Metal Circusfest in Machynlleth "The Red Lion proudly presents another rock & metal weekender showcasing the best contemporary bands in the UK." - Tickets are still available for this event or check out the facebook page for up to date news.
20th is "race the train":
"The 37th running of the ‘Race the Train’ event, hosted by Tywyn Rotary Group. The Talyllyn just provide the trains, all entries and organisation details please visit their website. We will be running a revised limited public passenger service on that day – more details to follow."
21st -28th We have Gwyl Festival in Machynlleth, a festival celebrating Welsh and international music and culture. For a full list of the performances and artists click here or to get tickets follow this link.
